Sixteen -year-old Leinad always wondered why he was trained with a sword even though he was a farm boy. Not exactly a farmer’s best tool. Until one day, one tragic event changed his life forever. Only then does he understand his true calling, a calling no one else can fulfill, a calling given to him by the King Himself. Teamed with a young slave girl, Leinad is thrust into a world of danger as he tries to thwart the Dark Knight’s evil plot and help the King save Arretrae, but it will take more than a swift hand and sharp blade to fulfill his mission. This is a book for people who like Christen, action, medieval time books.

With their father behind bars for sinking a river boat, 12 year old Noah Underwood and his younger sister, Abbey, must gather evidence that the owner of the riverboat (floating casino) is emptying his bilge tanks into the protected waters of Florida and throwing trash on the warm sandy beaches and into the waters around their home. To find out how Noah and Abbey will get their father out of the big house you will have to read this book. Personally I loved this book for its action, suspense, and its ability to make you feel like your actually there. This was an amazing book and I loved it and I know you will to. It doesn’t matter whether you are a girl or a boy if you like mystery or adventure. You will love Flush.                          By Aaron 1st period

There is also a boy who likes to bully and tease the group. He tried to hurt Little Ann and Billy. But the bully stopped because he got what he deserved. This is what happened. The whole group was by the lake looking for koons when……… You have to read the book to find out what happens. I recommend this book for anybody who likes suspenseful adventure books!

The Tale of Despereaux by Katie Dimillo 1st period

February 12th, 2008

despereaux.jpg

The name Despereaux is a name of failure but Despereaux is

anything but that. He was born with a small body and big ears, which

is not a good start.. There are many reasons he is disliked. One of

them is because he reads books while other mice eat them. When this

little mouse’s eyes get a-hold of princess Pea, he finds love at first

sight. Can Despereaux trust his love and risk it all to save the princess

or will he be a failure like his name and live forever knowing he’s not

like the Princes in the books? I recommend this book to anyone who

likes adventure, mystery, and maybe some romance.
