Charlotte Doyle is not your typical thirteen- year- old. Have you ever been charged with murder, put on trial, and found guilty? Charlotte has. In the summer of 1832, Charlotte boards the Seahawk and takes the most exciting trip of her life. On this trip, Charlotte must face the forces of nature when a huge hurricane arrives. She must face her darkest fears when the Captain tries to kill her in the hurricane. She also discovers things about herself she never knew. She was accused by the evil captain, who killed Mr. Hollybrass and blames it on Charlotte. This is an extremely terrifying place to be, yet trilling. At first, Charlotte does not want to be on the ship but she eventually comes to love the Seahawk. If you love adventurous exciting stories you will love The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.                                  By: Taylor 1St period
